Ron Mueck's Amazing Surrealist Sculptures

At first glimpse I thought these were some creepy photographs! I had no idea they were sculptures until seeing them side by side with real life people. Ron Mueck is an australian hyperrealist sculptor. I really have an appreciation for his ability to find art in these ordinary and simple bodies. Here in these sculptures he portrays humans at key stages in the life cycle, from birth though middle age, to death.
