Week 2-Dave Nitsche-Kara

One photographer I happened to find one day was Dave Nitsche. Dave is a photographer who solely shoots still life's in his basement studio. What Dave tries to do is show human emotions through inanimate objects. I think his pictures are really great because he uses very dramatic and expressive lighting along with well thought out and composed scenes. His images are extremely intriguing because they make you think. I think that images that make you think are more important than cliched ones that don't really have a concept behind them. Each of his concepts is some sort of human emotion, or word that you might associate with a human. He uses mostly monochromatic scenes, with splashes of color throughout to draw your attention to certain areas of the photo. I think his work is really wonderful and inspiring!
